After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Craig became a Directing Fellow at the prestigious American Film Institute. It was during this same time he began producing short documentaries, garnering attention with Roseland and Black Flag, both film festival favorites.
Making the jump to television, Craig started working for news broadcast outlets that took him around the world and led him to produce American Heroes, an account of three American aid workers living abroad during a civil war. The program was later acquired by Disney and PBS. He later worked for a time as a Creative Director for USAID in Eastern Europe.
Following this experience, Craig transitioned into the one-hour documentary format as a Producer, Writer and Editor on various series for VH-1, History Channel, PBS, CNN, and TLC.
His work has earned him awards for JAM, a Los Angeles Golden Mic, and three Emmy nominations for non-fiction editing. Craig credits much of his career’s success to his passion for the untold stories of people from all walks of life and considers community a big part of this.
“I try to give back to the community through donating my services in education and production for Non-Profit groups. I also volunteer my off time with a rescue dog shelter. – CS
