Craig E. Serling
Craig E. Serling is an Emmy-nominated writer, producer, director and editor whose work spans scripted film and television, documentary, unscripted programming and broadcast production.
His television credits include Survivor, American Idol, PBS documentaries, Gator Boys and Turner Television Special Projects. Much of his career has centered on launching new series, shaping pilots and first seasons, and finding the story within complex material.
As a writer and director, Craig created the independent feature JAM, an ensemble drama featuring many actors who went on to become some of television's most recognizable performers. The film was acquired for distribution by Showtime and Starz and later became available on Amazon Prime. His scripted work also includes original feature and television projects developed alongside his continuing work in production and post.
Craig works across development, production and post-production — from story and structure through producing, directing, editing and finishing. He brings the perspective of a filmmaker to each assignment, whether developing something from the ground up, finding the story in the edit, or helping get a production across the finish line.
Education: B.S., Rochester Institute of Technology; one year of directing study at the American Film Institute.
